My mission with Roof Pitch Calculator is simple: make useful roofing calculations easier, clearer and freely accessible to everyone.
During my years working in civil engineering, I learned that the maths behind many construction calculations is often straightforward once you understand it. The real difficulty is knowing which measurements to use, finding the right tool and understanding what the final result actually means.

I want every calculator on this website to follow the same basic principles so users can get the answer they need without unnecessary complexity.

Calculators are built around established mathematical and geometric formulas and checked against known reference cases wherever possible.

Users should only be asked for the measurements needed to complete the calculation, with clear labels and explanations.

Diagrams and visual feedback help explain how rise, run, angle, slope and other values relate to one another.
Free Access
Everyday roofing calculations should be available without requiring paid software, an account or unnecessary barriers.
You should not need to be an engineer to understand the result.
My goal is to make the tools useful for people who work with roofing measurements every day, as well as people who may only need to calculate something once.
The technical principles still matter, but the website should explain them in a way that feels practical rather than intimidating.
